1. Program Overview

Sip Society is a prepaid subscription program providing members access to selected beverages and benefits at participating UrbanPadstal locations, subject to availability and membership tier.

Membership benefits, redemption limits, pricing, and participating locations may change over time.

2. Subscription Period & Renewal

• Membership is valid only for the selected subscription period.
• Membership does not automatically renew.
• Renewal must be completed manually online or in-store.
• Benefits expire at the end of the subscription period if not renewed.
• Subscription fees are payable in advance.

3. Fees & Refund Policy (CPA Compliance)

In accordance with the Consumer Protection Act:

• Subscription fees are non-refundable once membership has been activated or benefits have been used.
• Refunds may be considered where services cannot reasonably be provided due to UrbanPadstal fault or closure.
• Customers may cancel prior to activation and receive a refund, less reasonable administrative costs where applicable.

No refunds apply for unused benefits.

4. Membership Benefits

Benefits may include:

• Beverage redemptions
• Discounts or promotional offers
• Member-only specials or access

Benefits:

• Depend on store participation and product availability.
• Cannot be exchanged for cash.
• Do not roll over between subscription periods.

UrbanPadstal reserves the right to modify benefits to improve operations or sustainability.

5. Redemption Rules

Unless otherwise specified:

• Redemptions are limited per membership tier.
• Only one redemption may be used per permitted period.
• Benefits cannot be accumulated or transferred.
• Add-ons or upgrades may require additional payment.

UrbanPadstal reserves the right to refuse redemption where misuse is suspected.

6. Personal Use Only

Membership:

• Is personal and non-transferable.
• May not be shared, resold, or transferred.
• May require identification or account verification.

Misuse may result in membership suspension or cancellation.

7. Fair Usage Policy

To ensure program sustainability:

• Excessive or abusive usage may result in suspension or cancellation.
• Redemption limits may be applied during peak periods or supply shortages.

8. Store Availability

Benefits are subject to:

• Store trading hours
• Equipment functionality
• Product stock availability
• Public holidays or operational disruptions

UrbanPadstal is not liable where benefits cannot be redeemed due to operational constraints beyond reasonable control.

9. Suspension or Termination

UrbanPadstal may suspend or terminate memberships where:

• Fraud or misuse occurs
• Terms are violated
• Operational or business requirements necessitate program adjustments

Members will retain rights to benefits already reasonably due unless termination arises from misuse.

10. Privacy & POPIA Compliance

UrbanPadstal collects and processes personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

Personal information is used only for:

• Membership administration
• Payment processing
• Customer communication
• Marketing communications where consent is provided

Customers may request correction or deletion of personal information where legally permissible.

11. Electronic Transactions (ECTA Compliance)

Online purchases and renewals are governed by South African electronic transaction laws. Transaction confirmations will be provided electronically.

Members are responsible for ensuring accurate account and contact information.

12. Limitation of Liability

UrbanPadstal is not liable for:

• Loss arising from inability to redeem benefits due to operational limitations
• Account misuse where reasonable security steps were taken
• Technical or payment processing failures outside reasonable control

Nothing in these Terms limits rights granted under South African law.

13. Amendments

UrbanPadstal may amend these Terms from time to time. Updated terms will be made available online or in-store. Continued use constitutes acceptance of changes.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and disputes fall under South African jurisdiction.
