Momento Vertical Tasting with Marelise Niemann

Marelise Niemann founded Momento in Bot River in 2013, starting with two barrels of old-vine Grenache. She's since become one of South Africa's most talked-about winemakers, named Tim Atkin MW's Young Winemaker of the Year in 2023 for wines built on patience, old vines, and a light hand in the cellar.

This isn't a standard tasting. It's a vertical, the same varietal, different vintages, side by side. Marelise is pouring and presenting it herself. Expect the real stories behind each glass: the vintage that nearly didn't happen, the decision that changed a wine's direction, why one year tastes nothing like the next.

Charcuterie boards will be served with the tasting.
