About the event

In a wine industry often dominated by legacy estates and familiar surnames, the Swartland born Jolandie Fouche, has carved her own path, and has become one of the most compelling voices in modern South African wine.
The name Wolf & Woman captures her fiercely independent spirit. Inspired by a line in a poem by Nikita Gill, “Some days I am more wolf than woman and I am still learning how to stop apologising for my wild."
Jolandie believes in embracing one’s untamed nature, and reflecting that personal philosophy to her winemaking. She delivers wines that feel authentic, confident, and unapologetically individual in nature.
Jolandie and her winery are testaments to the fact the countries most exciting wines are not made by following convention, but rather by having the courage to challenge it.
